 If you live in a rural area or are far away from a city water distribution system, a well is the system for ground water delivery from the water table to your table. A six inch steel pipe is used to create a void to a point where water is found in the water table in your area. There are different depts. Need to acquire the water but all systems are alike. All have a screen in the pit to guard against harming the pump, which delivers the water and comes in different horse powers depending on the depth. A torque arrester keeps the pump from spinning in the pit while spacers keep the well pipe and wiring from rubbing against the sides for the well pipe.
The pipe is connected to the side of the well pipe with a fitting called a pit adaptor and the pipe is buried and sent to the interior of the home and connected to a main shut off valve, a high-low pressure limit switch, boiler drain, tank tee and the connected to a bladder tank that ranges in size depending on the need. Since the water is coming from the ground  unfiltered, sediment minerals and various ranges of PH are present. The acidity of the water is tested and a filter and or neutralizer may be needed to correct the waters hardness. It is important to check the acidity as not to have your fixtures and copper piping to be “eaten up” by neglect. It is preferable to have CPVC piping as a water distribution system in this type of application. We repair and replace all types of pumps, piping, wiring, pressure limit switches, bladder tanks, and filter as well as neutralizers. |
